Awards season is here again to celebrate the best of the best in film and TV. The Golden Globes isn’t considered the most prestigious awards ceremony but still brings an opportunity to distill the shows and movies that deserve your viewing time.

The three-hour ceremony is scheduled to air Tuesday, kicking off at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock. Comedian Jerrod Carmichael is set to host.

Martin McDonagh’s The Banshees of Inisherin is the most nominated film with eight nods, including for best musical or comedy picture, director, screenplay, score and acting nominations for Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Kerry Condon and Barry Keoghan. James Cameron’s sci-fi epic Avatar: The Way of Water, the biggest box office hit of 2022, was nominated for best drama picture and director.
