A hiker was found dead on New Year’s Eve at Texas’ Guadalupe Mountains National Park.

In a release, the National Park Service said that it had been notified of a non-responsive hiker on the Guadalupe Peak Trail.

Hikers on the scene administered bystander CPR and notified park staff.

The agency did not offer information about the identity of the deceased.
