We printed several articles in this week's issue about fighting various social injustices.

From the movie "Lives of Courage, Voices of Hope" to "Justice Under the Lights," we applaud our community for raising awareness about important issues.

Even the Speak Ups and Guest Columns on our Opinion page boldly express sentiments about important injustices.

In our last editorial, we criticized those who anonymously spoke out to express their pent-up opinions. As a result, the author of the anonymous newsletter "The Wicket Gate," submitted a letter explaining his original intentions.

We are grateful that you, Nathaniel Maddox, are brave enough to come foreword with your opinions.

We even applaud all the Miss Samford contestants for committing themselves to platforms they believe in to try to make a difference one sparkly crown at a time.

We want to let all these people be the trend-setters in standing up for their own opinions and spreading awareness about important injustices.

As a staff, we fully support these efforts and want to encourage our readers to be bold: bold in their opinions and actions.
