When it comes to movies, we all know that if it's made by Marvel, you must stay in your seat until the credits have finished rolling, as there's bound to be a surprise awaiting you at the end.

And while this has made us often watch many credits sequences unnecessarily, we don't do it for every film we see.

However, a revelation on TikTok has made us think that we should do so from now on.

That's because a Harry Potter fan has discovered that the second film in the series, the Chamber of Secrets, has its very own end credits scene.

Yes, really.

A TikTok user named @perfect.dodge created a video explaining the scene, which has since gone viral, garnering thousands of views.

In the clip, he says: "Have you guys noticed this about Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets?

"So I'm 27-years-old. I've been watching this movie for almost 20 years, was no one gonna tell me that this is the only Harry Potter movie with a post-credit scene?

"Now, in short it is inconsequential to the plot, but I think this is still neat."

He continues: "So after the credits, the camera's above Diagon Alley and it slowly pulls into a shop window, where we see [a book with] a picture of Gilderoy Lockheart wearing a straight jacket, with the words 'Who am I?' above him.

"Here's why I like this details, in the movies we never actually see Gilderoy Lockheart again, but we actually do see him again in the book of Order of the Phoenix.

"Harry and the gang accidentally run into him at St Mungo's magical hospital where he's being treated for his memory loss as a permanent resident. During the books it's confirmed that he never really recovered from his backfired memory charm, this post-credit scene is cool because it kind of confirms that he'd never recovered in the movies either."

The video was shared by another TikTok user named Holly Auna, who also had her mind blown by the discovery of the scene.

She says: "Okay, I've got to see this for myself. He can't honestly tell me that I've seen this movie a million times and I've never seen the ending scene."

Holly fast forwards through the movie to find the scene, before watching for the first time.

"This scene is so cool," she adds. "If you're someone who's only watched the movies and you haven't read the books, you're about to learn something that you didn't know before, from this one scene – and it's canon and does line up with the books."

More than one million people liked her video, with one saying: "OMG. I'm a huge Potterhead and an equally huge Marvel fan. You'd think that being a Marvel fan I'd wait for the end scene. Now I must."

Another wrote: "I have never seen this scene!"

Someone else replied: "Going to go watch the credits to see this. How have I missed it?!"

Others had already seen it and couldn't believe it had taken some so long to spot it.
