Love Island alumni Siannise and Luke T sent fans into a frenzy when they fell for each other in South Africa in 2020, but Luke has revealed he just went on the show for "a bit of fun".

The gorgeous couple, who were runners-up to Paige and Finn on Winter Love Island, charmed viewers with their enchanting love story and moved in together last year in what was a surprise for both of them.

Speaking exclusively to the Mirror at the National Reality TV Awards Luke said: "I didn't go in there thinking I was going to fall in love. I just went in there for a bit of fun" before Siannise replied adorably "and then you met me!"

Siannnise was one of the original 2020 Love Island line up but after false starts with Nas Majeed and Connaugh with a G, it looked like love might pass the Bristolian stunner by.

But when bombshell Luke arrived alongside Luke Mabbott, it was clear there was a spark between them and the picture-perfect pair haven't looked back since.

Siannise, 27, who looked stunning at the awards ceremony wearing a form-fitting black cocktail dress, said: "When you go in there you're not guaranteed to find anyone. You think you know what you're going to get out of it, but you just need to be true to yourself."

Luke T says he wasn't looking for love in the villa

When asked if he thought current contestant Lucinda was being truthful in wake of the recent rumours about her having a boyfriend on the outside Luke said: "Everyone goes in knowing what that they can get out of. I don't think she's particularly playing a game. I just think she's in there for fun."

In what they admitted was an '"unpopular" opinion the happy couple said they were rooting for Chloe and Toby to win the current series.

Siannise explained: "I love Chloe's personality because she's come in from day one being herself. [Their relationship] is not coming across as perfect. No relationship is perfect and when you're in there you can't be lovely all the time, you're going to have a few tiffs. It's real."

However Love Island star Toby caused a stir on Thursday when he decided to choose Abigail Rawlings, after knowing her for a few days, instead of Chloe Burrows – who Toby ditched Kaz Kamwi for just weeks prior.

During the recoupling ceremony, Hugo Hammond lashed out at Toby after he decided to dump Chloe without any hint of his intentions before the surprise recoupling.

Hugo made a thinly-veiled dig at Toby before saving the blonde bombshell from being axed.

"If I'm completely honest, she doesn't deserve to be treated the way she has been these past 24 hours and I firmly believe that a lot of this 'test' stuff is complete bull****" Hugo revealed.

Most of the girls appeared in Hugo's camp, apart from Faye Winter, who made it clear that she backed Toby – despite her previously slamming him for his behaviour towards former flame Kaz – with Lucinda Strafford and Millie Court sitting down with scorned Chloe for a debrief.

Lucinda explained that she was really annoyed with the way Toby went about everything and Millie agreed.

Chloe told that she had a "lucky escape" from Toby and praised Hugo for supporting her in front of everyone.

Luke thinks Lucinda has gone on the show just to have fun

While whoever wins Love Island in August is going to be catapulted into a life full of opportunity, life in the public eye comes with a price and Siannise warned the contestants to "stay true to themselves".

Luke concluded: "People will come at you with all sorts of opportunities and advice but you need to make sure you keep your core morals."
