Police are tracing a man they want to identify in connection with an investigation after a teenage girl was a victim of a "deeply concerning" sex attack.

Officers have released CCTV footage of a man they are looking for in connection with the incident.

Avon and Somerset Police say the teen was sexually assaulted in the early hours of on Sunday, July 4 in the Bedminster area of Bristol.

Police say the suspect approached the victim and she believes he used the nickname "Mo".

The man in the CCTV thought to be of mixed race, of portly build, about 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins, with dark facial hair.

He is described as wearing blue jeans, a dark jacket and a baseball cap.

Senior Investigating Officer DI Tola Munro said: "We urgently want to identify and speak to the man the footage as part of our ongoing investigation into this deeply concerning incident.

"The victim in this case has been supported by highly trained investigators and specialists from partner agencies, and we're keeping her fully updated on the progress of this inquiry."
