Home and Away actor Orpheus Pledger asked a magistrate to 'be gentle' as he appeared in court after being arrested on drug charges.
The 28-year-old Australian actor, who played Mason Morgan in the soap, was allegedly caught in February with half a gram of methamphetamine and 30 Diazepam tablets. He was arrested by police and later bailed.
Five months after his initial arrest, Pledger appeared on Wednesday, July 14, at Melbourne Magistrates' Court on two counts of drug possession.
During the hearing, which he attended virtually via a video link, the actor requested that the case be adjourned so he could get legal advice and to keep the case out of the media.

As reported by the Herald Sun, his cat was also reportedly spotted wandering past the video during the hearing.
He then asked the Magistrate, Hugh Radford, to 'be gentle' during the case.
"Well, seeing as though I don't have counsel present, I would like to keep things out of the media until the matter is resolved," Orpheus told the court.
However, the actor's request was denied as the Magistrate pointed out that media are allowed to attend the court.
The former actor has since decided to become a music producer
Radford said: "That well may be your wish, but the issue is … if we were in normal times, the media is quite entitled to sit at the back of the court … so I don't believe I could restrict them from at least obtaining a copy of the charges."
Later, Pledger asked: "Be gentle, your honour."
Drug possession charges in Victoria, the state in which Melbourne is located, could result in a warning, a fine, or even up to one-year imprisonment.
A representative for Pledger and the Melbourne Magistrates' Court has been approached by The Mirror for comment.
The actor has appeared in a host of Australian TV shows in the past
Pledger shot to fame after appearing in a host of Aussie television shows including Neighbours and Silversun. He then starred in Home and Away between 2016 and 2019.
Following his roles in TV, the actor then decided on a career change and instead stepped into the world of music.
Last year, Pledger revealed to followers that he had been working on several tracks and was excited to reveal them to his fans.
"So happy to be producing music. Can't wait for you all to hear the tracks I have in store for you," he said last year on social media.
