Love Island star Rosie Williams' on-screen antics shocked her dad so much he didn't speak to her for weeks afterwards, it has been revealed.

The stunning solicitor starred in Series 4 of the dating show where she coupled up with Adam Collard, before he ditched her for Zara McDermott and she was cruelly dumped from the show on day 20.

Her mum Sharon Williams told in a candid interview that she watched her daughter in every episode as close to the TV as possible, because the pair normally speak every day and she "needed the updates".

But she said her dad Steve found her raunchy exploits on the show – including a night she performed a sex act on Adam under the covers – too hard to handle.

Sharon, 51, told new! magazine: "After that night under the sheets with Adam, she was on the front page of newspapers and that was hard to deal with. We live in a close-knit community in Wales, so her sister Evie would hear people talking about Rosie at the local shops.

"When we were reunited, Rosie explained that you forget the cameras are there, so I was able to understand why it happened and I moved on, but Steve wouldn't talk to her for weeks afterwards."

Sharon told as soon as she saw Adam on screen "she knew Rosie would go for him".

"She doesn't have the best taste in men and tends to go for the players. When he didn't treat her nicely by talking about her to other islanders, all I wanted to do was give her a cwtch [Welsh for hug]. I'd get a call every day from a welfare officer in Majorca who had contact with Rosie.

"We weren't allowed to pass on messages but I'd beg her to push Adam in the pool. Steve wanted to fly over there himself and get her.

Rosie revealed she was inspired to study law by watching TV series Ally McBeal and Hollywood blockbuster Legally Blonde.

She is a solicitor of the senior courts of England and Wales.
