A group of fans have attempted to storm into Wembley Stadium just two hours before England's Euro 2020 final with Italy.
Thousands of supporters have been gathering outside the ground since midday, with the majority looking forward to the game peacefully.
However, as the hours wind down a number have now attempted to break down security cordons in order to access the stadium.
Further metal barriers have since been erected in order to keep the onrushing supporters out, with Sky Sports News reporting that the breach has been halted and relative peace restored.
Metropolitan Police had warned people without tickets to stay away from the area and said it would deploy "a great many officers and specialist units to prevent crime and disorder and respond to any incidents right across London".

More than 60,000 will be in attendance at Wembley, with around 7,000 backing the Azzurri including 1,000 that have flown out from Italy.
England manager Gareth Southgate had thanked fans for their support during the tournament, admitting it had given the players a lift in crunch moments.
"We hope we've represented you in the right way. We hope you've enjoyed watching us play," he said. "We know now we've got to deliver for you so we'll be doing everything we can."

He also asked those inside the stadium to respect the national anthem and instead asked them to intimidate the Italians while the game was ongoing.
“It is important that our fans always respect the opposition and we know that in actual fact when we play abroad and fans boo our anthem it probably inspires us even more, so I don’t think it will help the team.
“I think we can intimidate the team with the booing during the game, but it’s different for the anthem. I think we should be respectful.”

The English FA was fined £25,630 earlier this week after an investigation into supporter behaviour during the semi-final victory over Denmark.
The three sanctions handed down were for disturbances during the national anthems, the use of a laser pointer and setting off flares within the stadium.
