Addeybb (Official rating 125) – No seven-year-old has ever won the Eclipse so trends followers will have Addeybb crossed out but he’s a four-time Group 1 winner racing over his optimum trip, while he’s not finished out of the first two in his last 11 starts. Best form is on soft ground so showers would boost his prospects further. ODDS: 3/1*

Mishriff (122) – Raced just ten times but already bagged over £10m in prize money; highlighted his versatility by landing the Grade 1 Sheema Classic (1m4f) in Dubai but a stiff 1m2f on easy ground has looked his optimum conditions so everything in place for a big run. This has been his target for a while and he represents a trainer that has won this race four times since 2012. ODDS: 6/4*

El Drama (109) – Looked a colt on the up when winning the Dee Stakes at Chester but sunk without trace behind St Mark’s Basilica at Chantilly. That clearly wasn’t his true running but still has to prove that he can compete at Group 1 level. ODDS: 25/1*

St Mark’s Basilica (120) – Made it three Group 1 wins on the spin when running out a commanding winner of the Prix du Jockey Club (French Derby) on his first try at ten furlongs. All recent form has been on soft but handled a sound surface fine as a juvenile and gets 10lb off the older horses; big chance of providing trainer Aidan O’Brien with a record-equalling sixth Coral-Eclipse Stakes. ODDS: 6/4*
