Influencer Kate Hudson took to social media to share the details of her daughter Eliza's funeral and thanked those who attended.

The two-year-old died on Father's Day, June 20, following a battle with an aggressive form of cancer.

Kate shared a snap of a smiling Eliza onto her Instagram along with a screenshot of the obituary.

She captioned her post: "Thank you to our friends and family who were with us on Monday, June 28th, as we celebrated the inspiring life of our incredible daughter, Eliza. Thank you to Cotner Funeral Home (April) and Angel Works (Ellie).

"Thank you to Eliza's oncology and hospice team and the PICU staff that works with Chance. Thank you to everyone who wrote beautiful messages and donated trees to memorialize Eliza. One particular line in a message resonated with me so deeply because it is exactly what Eliza would have wanted:

""Sending a grove of trees where children will climb and owls perch." (From Michele M)."

She continued: "Thank you to all of Eliza's extended virtual family. You continue to remind us of the inspiring impact our daughter made on so many lives beyond our own. It means more than you know.

"The memories of Eliza, a child with wisdom far beyond her years and a yearning to live for every moment in life, will never be forgotten. Eliza's memory will live on not only through Chance and me and her immediate family, but also through the millions of you.

"Eliza will always be our daughter, best friend, and truest, purest love of our lives. We feel honored to have been her parents. And we feel honored knowing that our daughter, in less than 3 years, changed the world."

The obituary included the day she passed away along with when she was born – August 10, 2018.

"Eliza loved to be outside, to feel the crinkly grass beneath her toes, to take long walks and explore every detail this world has to offer, to dance and shake her booty, to sing songs from her favourite movies (including "My Fair Lady"), to swing under the trees, to laugh, to make everyone around her laugh, to embrace life for what it is – finite, unpredictably fragile, and very much worth living for," it read.

It mentioned the family members Eliza never had the chance to meet due to them passing away, including her grandfather Richard Hudson, aunt Emily Hudson, and baby sister, "whom none were able to meet".

Eliza was diagnosed with a 'very rare and aggressive' rhabdoid tumour when she was just 10 months old and spent the rest of her short life fighting the disease.

On June 22, social media star Kate broke the devastating news that Eliza had passed away.

Parents Kate and Chance had documented Eliza's brave journey on TikTok with their 5 million followers.
