Strictly Come Dancing pro Anton Du Beke pulls on sequinned underwear if his wife ever needs cheering up.
The dancer is no stranger to wearing sparkly outfits on the BBC show, but he claims to have glittery thongs at home in case he catches his significant other Hannah Summers ever looking glum.
He said: "If I see a disappointed look on her face I whip something sequin out. Just for her.
"I'm always wearing a sequin something. Invariably an underclothes of some description."
But the 54-year-old star hasn't always experienced joy himself from wearing sequinned briefs.
Anton has been left in great pain from the "really sharp" shiny discs digging into his body.
Speaking on the Jackie Weaver Has the Authority podcast, he added: "It's very important if you're going to wear a sequin Y-front or a hot pant, or a thong, that when you cut the fabric you make sure you take the sequin off from the edges.

"Because they get really sharp and can nip a little bit, and then it becomes a bit uncomfortable.
"So you have to be very careful with that, and you don't want any chafing."
Anton will be back on Strictly this Winter and joined during its first series meaning he is the only professional dancer to have danced in every series.
He has had many memorable partnerships including with Ann Widdecombe, Nancy Dell’Olio, Judy Murray and Ruth Langsford.
Anton has reached the Strictly Come Dancing final twice, most recently in 2019 with EastEnders’ star Emma Barton. In 2020 he was partnered with former Home Secretary Jacqui Smith, as well as appearing as a guest judge in place of Bruno Tonioli.

The BBC Latin and ballroom dance competition announced the full line-up of professional dancers taking part in the upcoming 2021 series in March, which included beloved show favourite Anton, who is the only dancer to have taken part in every series since the show began in 2004.
Alongside Anton, Oti, and Katya, the rest of the 2021 line-up includes Aljaž Škorjanec, Amy Dowden, Dianne Buswell, Giovanni Pernice, Gorka Marquez, Graziano Di Prima, Janette Manrara, Johannes Radebe, Karen Hauer, Luba Mushtuk, Nadiya Bychkova, Nancy Xu, and Neil Jones.

This year sees no new dancers joining the ranks, but it will mark the first time Nancy Xu has been given a celebrity partner since joining the series in 2019 and taking part in all the choreographed group numbers.
More information on the series – which will air toward the end of the year – including which celebrities are due to take part will be announced later in the year.
Last year’s series saw comedian Bill Bailey lift the glitterball trophy with his partner Oti, which made her the only dancer in the programme’s history to win two consecutive series, having also won in 2019 with actor Kelvin Fletcher.
