New Love Island contestants Shannon Singh and Hugo Hammond have been chosen as this year's favourites by bookmakers.

This year's ITV2 Islanders were recently announced and bookies have already announced the top ones.

According to Betfair, model Shannon, from Fife, is the 5/2 favourite to be the top girl in the dating series while PE teacher Hugo has the same odds for top male.

24-year-old Hugo is the show's first disabled star and was born with clubfoot. Not only is he a PE teacher, but the hunk has also played cricket for England PD (Physical Disability).

"I’ve been everywhere to play cricket. I was born with clubfoot. I had lots of operations when I was a kid," he revealed.

"You can only really tell when I walk barefoot. I’ve got a really short Achilles heel. I walk slightly on my tiptoes."

Shannon said it was a "once in a lifetime opportunity"
