Singer and producer Moby admitted being around his 'demigod' friend David Bowie made him incredibly anxious.
The 55-year-old has sold over 20 million records worldwide but still didn't feel 'worthy' compared to the late icon David.
David, who died in 2016 following a battle with cancer, was Moby's neighbour in New York between 1999 and 2003 and the two formed a quick friendship.
Moby explained: "The first job I ever had, at 13, was as a caddy at a fancy golf course. I only worked there long enough to afford two David Bowie albums I desperately wanted.
"I think he's the greatest musician of all time, so when he suddenly became my neighbour, I just spent every second we were together desperately trying to be normal."

He added to The Express: "I felt anxious the whole time with David, as I wanted to fall on the floor and say, 'I'm not worthy'. We were friends, but I was disingenuous because I never once let David know how much reverence I have for him.
"I didn't want to make him uncomfortable by telling him that, and I didn't want to embarrass myself."
Moby – real name Richard Melville Hall – spent Christmases with the Ziggy Stardust icon and the two even toured and went on holiday together.
Despite being friends, he found it hard to forget that David was a 'demigod'.

A few years ago, Moby admitted that admitted David's legendary status was always on the back of his mind.
"It started to seem normal, but at the back of my mind I never forgot the fact that David Bowie was a demigod and a genius and the best musician who will ever live," he said during an interview on Anton Savage on Today FM.
Moby has recently opened up about his relationship with David as well as his difficult childhood, being so drunk he missed his mother's funeral and his music in the new documentary, Moby Doc.
Along with the documentary, Moby also recently released his album Reprise where he reworked past songs like 'Go' and 'Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?'.
