TV presenter Kate Garraway has refused to let the rainy summer weather get her down and was seen smiling despite getting drenched on her way to work.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, 54, was pictured on her way to Global studios where she hosts her Smooth Radio show.

Not letting the rain dampen her spirits, the star flashed a smile as she held a newspaper over her head to keep her hair dry before ducking into the building

She was dressed in a statement leopard print dress and tailored white coat, with a matching cream handbag.

Kate paired the outfit with nude court heels, which she strutted up streets of London in.

With her hands full, Kate had definitely had easier strolls into the office, as she also was seen pulling a travel case behind her.

In a bid to protect her classic blow-out from the downpour, she held up the paper until she was safely in the door.

Her appearance came after Kate shared an update on her husband Derek Draper's recovery and explained how doctors said he needs to make significant improvements .

Kate revealed health professionals admitted he "wouldn't recover" if he didn't make any progress within the next two years.

Derek was originally hospitalised in March 2020, when he fell ill after contracting coronavirus, and then spent 12 months in hospital after suffering multiple complications.

Kate explained that Derek's neurologist also said "time and waiting are your friends" because he "had never seen anything like this before so can’t personally chart the recovery", reported The Daily Star.

She had pressed the doctor, known as Dr W, on how long to expect for Derek's recovery and was stunned to find out that his estimated time frame is two years.

Kate said: "Up until now I had been living by the minute, hours on the phone monitoring infection levels and statistics, trying to get a handle on where Derek was, wondering every time I went to sleep if he would still be alive in the morning."
