Britney Spears has once again confused her fans with her recent Instagram posts, this time hinting she's working on new music.

Conspiracy theories have been rife since the Grammy Award-winning artist has been uploading clips of herself spinning around, as well as posting various selfies with dark makeup running down her eyes, and fans could not help but notice a new cryptic message in her latest post.

Last night, the Baby… One More Time singer uploaded a soundless clip of herself dancing before quickly walking away.

The 39-year-old pop icon was seen wearing a silver jumpsuit, covered in glittery and snazzy patterns.

She captioned the short video, “The diamond, coming soon !!!!” along with a diamond emoji.

“Who is controlling this page?”

Scepticism regarding Britney’s activity on social media has especially grown since the release of the New York Times documentary Framing Britney.

Following the singer’s tragic mental breakdown in 2007 – which had been infamously documented by paparazzi – Britney has been entangled in a legal conservatorship, which prevents her from making her own financial decisions for the past 13 years.

The decade-long conservatorship has long been queried by concerned fans and even other celebrities such as Paris Hilton, which has resulted in the creation of the #FreeBritney movement.

The court order is normally attributed to people suffering from dementia and other debilitating conditions preventing a person from rationalising thoughts.

Consequently, it is Britney’s father who is responsible for his daughter’s fortune, reportedly worth £46million.
