Celebs stripping naked is a guaranteed way to get attention for your charity.

With obvious shock value, and often with a symbolic meaning behind why they are posing in the nude, many celebs have been photographed in their birthday suits to raise awareness.

Ulrika Jonsson made headlines this week as she posed completely starkers with a wheelbarrow to raise awareness for male mental health charity Strong Men, but she's only the latest in a long lineage of stars to do so.

From Emma Watson to Greg James and Khloe Kardashian, it's become a trend for celebrities to draw attention to a charitable campaign by… drawing attention to their bodies.

Nobody has ever made a wheelbarrow look so sexy!

Ulrika Jonsson's right leg and carefully placed right arm cover her modesty in this new photo, taken to promote the work of a male mental health charity.

Ulrika declared that "it's never unmanly to talk" in the caption of the image she shared for the Strong Men charity, which work to raise awareness around how men cope with bereavement.

She nominated more people to pose naked to raise awareness of the charity's campaign, including former Olympian James Cracknell.

Ainsley Harriot

The TV chef bared all for ITV show The Real Full Monty in 2018

TV chef and general all-round friendly face Ainsley Harriot lost his mother to cancer, so was happy to be involved in The Real Full Monty, a segment from Comic Relief which raises awareness about prostrate and testicular cancer.

Ainsley is one of a string of celebrities who've recreated the iconic striptease from the 1990s movie in front of a live audience.

He performed the striptease on stage alongside TOWIE star James Argent and TV presenter Jeff Brazier.

Cara Delevingne

Cara's artwork

Model and actor Cara posed naked for a digital art display earlier this year, and auctioned it off for charity.

Radio 1's resident Breakfast Show host went on a trek for Comic Relief in 2013, and arriving at the famous Zambezi River in Zambia, he went totally nude – covering his modesty with his hand – to cool off for a swim.

Greg promised to run into the water naked if he managed to raise £50,000 for The BT Red Nose Challenge: Hell and High Water.

After hitting their goal, Radio 1 tweeted out a message of support: "Great work @BBCR1 listeners. Mr @gregjames goes naked in the #zambezi.* *warning, may contain butts"

Emma Watson

In the same year as Greg stripped off, it was the turn of Harry Potter actor Emma, who was photographed nude with a flower in her mouth for a shoot in support of Global Green USA, a sustainability charity.

Afterwards, she tweeted the picture and encouraged others to buy the book it's included within, which was also raising money for Global Green. "My friend is supporting GlobalGreenUSA with his book Natural Beauty. It's out now. : ) X'" she wrote on social media.

Khloe posed for a naked picture for the animal rights charity PETA back in 2008.

Next to the image of Khloe covering her breasts with her hand a message reads: "Animals killed for their fur are electrocuted, drowned, beaten, and often skinned alive.

"Be comfortable in your own skin. Let animals keep theirs."

Four years after the campaign ran, Khloe's sister Kim was flour bombed by a PETA protestor at an event. Kim has previously worn fur in public.

It was around the same time that Khloe parted ways with PETA.

The talk show host was another of PETA's public advocates when she appeared naked in a banner, reading "I'd rather go naked than wear fur," which was plastered around Times Square in New York.

"There is a sexy way to suggest to people to rethink the fur," she explained in a promotional video around the time of the shoot in 2012.

Melanoma is a form of skin cancer which can develop after too much exposure to the sun.

The photo was printed onto T-shirts which sold for $35 and were available through Marc Jacobs and raised funds for NYU Langone Health centre.
