A monster gamble on a horse backed down from 100-1 continues on day two of Royal Ascot.

Kaboo, an unraced colt, debuts in the Windsor Castle Stakes at 5.35pm – and is now down to 6-1 in Paddy Power's betting market.

Backed in to 9-1 earlier this morning, punters are still supporting the Karl Burke-trained runner ahead of the start of the card (2.30pm).

To win the two-year-old will have to beat Frankie Dettori's mount Ruthin, priced at 2-1 with the same firm.

Before the relentless cash for Kaboo, Matt Chapman tweeted: "Omgggggggg. Kaboo now 12-1 from 66-1. Surely one of the biggest Royal @Ascot gambles we have seen for @karl_burke Yeeehaaa!"

Owner Nick Bradley, who has a large number of runners this week with his syndicates, overcame the odds in a race on Tuesday.

Their Coventry Stakes runner-up Eldrickjones was sent off at 66-1, an effort which won connections £22,390.

Bradley tweeted that he had been inundated with messages about Kaboo, stating: "Phone hasn’t stopped pinging! We have just gone past 5,000 followers! If he doesn’t win at least the increase in followers have been worth it."

First prize for the winner of Kaboo's race is £38,480.

Yorkshire trainer Burke knows exactly what is required to land a juvenile contest at the Olympics of Flat racing having won last year’s Albany Stakes with Dandalla.

Paddy Power spokesman Paul Binfield said: “Kaboo has yet to exhibit his talents in public, but given the huge support we’ve seen for him from 100-1 into 6-1 at a prestigious meeting like Royal Ascot it has to be assumed that he has an abundance of ability and has been catching pigeons on the Middleham gallops.”
