Harry Kane could face Spurs on the opening day of the new Premier League season if he seals a move to Man City this summer.
League chiefs released the fixture list for the 2021/21 campaign on Wednesday morning as teams prepare for the upcoming term.
The action will get underway on the weekend of August 14/15 and the biggest match from the opening set of games is undoubtedly City's visit to Tottenham, which will likely be selected for TV coverage.
Some of the other fixtures across that weekend are Chelsea vs Crystal Palace, Norwich City vs Liverpool and Manchester United vs Leeds.
City vs Spurs is always a massive game whenever it arrives in the Premier League calendar, but there is potential it could have even more significance as Kane is linked with a move to the Etihad.

Will Harry Kane be a Manchester City player by the opening day of the Premier League season? Comment below
The England striker has expressed his desire to leave the North London club as he wants to join a team competing for silverware.
And Pep Guardiola's side have emerged as the leading candidate for his signature after the departure of Sergio Aguero to Barcelona this summer.

Man Utd, Chelsea and Real Madrid are all interested in the 28-year-old, however, so City will face stiff competition if they plan to orchestrate a deal this summer.
Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has no intention of selling his prized asset and wants to rebuild the squad around Kane under Paulo Fonseca who is expected to be announced as the club's new boss this week.
It's claimed Tottenham will not entertain offers under £150million so for City to come up with the required funds, they will likely have to sell a few of their own players first of all.
The transfer window does not close until the end of August which doesn't necessarily mean if Kane did join City, it would happen before the opening day of the Premier League season.
In fact, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see this saga drag on until Deadline Day.
But the prospect of Kane going up against his former club on the first day of the season is mouthwatering, to say the least.
There is a lot of things that need to fall into place for this scenario to materialise, but what a way it would be to get things started.
