Sarah-Jane Honeywell has made a veiled reference to the topless photoshoot that cost her a job presenting on CBeebies while stripping down to her underwear for a new body-confident photo.

The 47-year-old sparked a scandal 10 years ago when she stripped off for a photoshoot for Peta while a high profile children’s TV presenter.

Despite stripping down in an effort to raise awareness for animal rights and a cause she felt was just, Sarah-Jane was unceremoniously fired from her BBC job at the time.

A decade on, Sarah-Jane has taken to social media to showcase her figure once again and for a new cause – celebrating body confidence.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Sarah-Jane offered an inspiring take on body confidence – while also making a subtle reference to the scandal that cost her her BBC job.

She began: “I haven’t posted anything as revealing as this in forever but….. you know.”

Wearing a pair of animal print pants and a dark blue bar, she continued: “I’m 47 and I’ve had two kids by c section and I’m not rich enough for surgery or matching underwear.

He commented: “Fancy coming round to my place tonight?” alongside a string of kisses.

Playing coy, S-J replied with a “maybe” as well as crying-with-laughter and heart-eyed emojis.

Ayden – who has stared in both Hollyoaks and Emmerdale in the past – then joked: “I’ll take a maybe, it means I’ve got a shot,” while adding heart-eyes, flame, banana, watermelon and peach emojis to his comment.

Elsewhere, fellow Instagram users expressed approval of Sarah-Jane’s post, with one writing: “You look gorgeous chuck.”

Sarah-Jane has previously discussed the despair she felt after losing her job due to her past racy snaps, saying she was left suicidal and £100,000 in debt.

She told The Sun earlier this year: “It was the job of my dreams. I had so much fun every day, just trying to make kids laugh.”

Addressing the topless Peta shoot, she said: “At the time, I was on a filming break from CBeebies, so didn’t think I needed to clear it with them. It was just a bit of fun – and I wasn’t even paid to do it.”

She continued: “The BBC was asked to comment on the pictures, and they simply said I no longer worked for them. That was how I found out.

"There was never a phone call or a single conversation with my bosses – despite me having worked there for 10 years. I was completely devastated that the career I loved was over.”
