Luxury sunglasses featured in the hit new Disney movie Cruella have been snatched from a designer London store.

Thieves smashed through the shop front door of celebrity spec designer Tom Davies’ Sloane Square shop with a concrete block and escaped with an estimated haul worth £500,000.

Shocking CCTV footage shows a raider smash through the shop's glass front door and then start emptying the sunglasses into a cardboard tray.

The thief and another masked burglar then ransacked the optician’s shelves and got away with designer specs worn by Hollywood stars Emma Stone and Emma Thompson in the film.

Despite the alarm blasting away, the pair were in and out of the stop within 50 seconds before police arrived as the scene.

Celeb specs designer Tom had intended to auction the unique Cruella frames for sight charity Orbis.

The 46-year-old designer has created luxury frames for a string of top Hollywood films including Superman and Spider-Man.

Following the shock raid, Tom issued a desperate plea for anyone to notify him if anyone tried to sell them a pair of the designer specs.

"If you are offered any sunglasses with ‘TOM DAVIES FOR CRUELLA’ engraved on the inside arm, please can you let us know," read a special ‘Wanted! #TomDaviesTheft’ poster issued by the shop.

"The thieves probably didn’t know they had also stolen glasses recently made for the film Cruella which were due to be auctioned off for charity.

"These distinctive fames have a far bigger value at a charity auction than to the criminals who vandalised our store and will struggle to sell them.

"If you are offered any of these frames or have information you can share, please let us or the local police know.

"If you have the glasses in your possession, we will swap them for a pair of Tom Davies sunglasses."

The wild west-style poster then joked: "Unless you’re one of the thieves, in which case we will happily hand you over to the authorities. Thanks."

Tom was commissioned by Cruella’s Oscar -winning costume designer Jenny Beaven to make special luxury glasses for Emma Thompson.

But in the end the designer, who has made glasses for celebs including Ed Sheeran, Carrie Fisher, Brad Pitt and Rowan Atkinson, ended up being commissioned to make a staggering 120 different frames for the star cast.

However, reflecting on the raid, Tom admitted: "It's quite sinister when you watch the video.

"In the movie Cruella, Jasper and Horace are petty thieves who go about stealing from people and these two burglars are just like them.”

He added in an interview with The Sun : "If you are offered any sunglasses with 'Tom Davies for Cruella' engraved on the inside arm, then please let us know. They are very distinctive."

Hollywood A-lister Emma, 32, stars as a young Cruella de Vil in the hit movie, made famous by the 101 Dalmatians films, while fellow Hollywood heavyweight Thompson, 62, plays Baroness von Hellman, the narcissistic head of a London fashion house.

A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "Police were called at 02:13hrs on Wednesday, 9 June to reports of a burglary at a commercial property in Sloane Square, SW1.

"Officers attended and it was reported that a quantity of sunglasses had been stolen by a group of men who had left before police arrived. Enquiries are ongoing; there have been no arrests."
