Aaron Ramsey has performed a U-turn on his future as he claims he is looking for a club where he can "feel good again."

The Juventus midfielder has suffered a frustrating time in Turin since moving from Arsenal in the summer of 2019.

Ramsey has been hampered with injuries and has struggled to settle in Italy with reports suggesting he would be keen on a return to the Emirates this summer.

But the Welshman poured cold water over a potential Gunners reunion when he insisted he will be a Juve player next season as he opened up on the difficult start to his Serie A career.

Should Arsenal re-sign Aaron Ramsey this summer? Comment below

Speaking to Sky Sports earlier this month, Ramsey said: "It’s obviously been a very frustrating period for me over the last couple of years.

"I’ve picked up a few small niggly injuries which have been frustrating and I’ve not been able to get any consistency going.

"It’s been frustrating when you arrive at a new club and want to hit the ground running and show everybody what you’re capable of doing consistently.

"It’s always going to be difficult when you have these sort of little injuries that set you back a couple of weeks and then your rhythm is interrupted.

"And then you chuck in Covid as well which hasn’t helped."

When asked if he will remain at Juventus next season, Ramsey simply replied: "Yeah, I’m a Juventus player."

But the 30-year-old has since changed his tune and hinted that he is looking for a change of scenery.

He told Football Mercato : “The last two seasons at Juventus have been very difficult, frustrating, not just from a physical point of view. I want a place where I can feel good again.”

Ramsey, who is on international duty with Wales at Euro 2020, hinted that Juve's medical team hasn't been the best fit for him and he is now enjoying having his own team around him that knows him inside out.

He said: “There have been many factors and changes that I haven’t been used to.

“In the end, now I have got my own team around me who are focused on me, to get myself into the best possible shape.

“Football is a team sport and a lot of the time it is about the team and everybody doing the same things, when maybe some players need a bit more attention.

“So, I take it into my own hands and have the right people around me to try to come up with the best possible plan to get myself back into a place where I am feeling good and confident again.

“The Welsh staff and medical team have been brilliant, they have been open for discussions and it’s important to all be on the same page.

“I have known a lot of the Welsh staff for a long time from my Arsenal days as well.

“They understand me, they know my body and they know what I need.”
