Love may be blind but infatuation is also pretty short-sighted judging by a puzzling poll.
TV quiz king Richard Osman is the answer for many of 1,000 women asked who was the celebrity fella they had a crush on but couldn’t explain why.
The 6ft 7in novelist and co-host of Pointless, 50, has “something about him” said 14% of women.
Just 3% behind him was long-lashed Greater Manchester mayor Andy Burnham, 51, followed by Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, 50, and Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine, 56.
The 1,000 men asked which women they inexplicably found irresistible came up with an even clearer winner

Top of the poll of no-nonsense women was football boss and Alan Sugar’s aide on The Apprentice, Karren Brady, 52, with 20% of the vote.
She beat bullying row Home Secretary Priti Patel, 49, by 6%.
She was also too hot for Dragons’ Den’s Deborah Meaden, 62, and Strictly judge Shirley Ballas, 60.

A fair few women thought lots of Homes Under the Hammer host and former footballer Dion Dublin, 52.
And Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, 47, would be welcome on the home front of 5% of women.

The same number get revved up over ex-Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson, 61.
Just 3% think MasterChef presenter Gregg Wallace, 56, is tasty or would like to get handy with DIY SOS presenter Nick Knowles, 58.
Gardener Monty Don, 65, was planted at the bottom of the table.
Monty Don only scored 2 per cent of the vote
For blokes, 7% would like to catch The Chase’s Jenny Ryan, 39. And some like it Scot: 6% fancied BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, 59, and Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, 50.
Some men were switched on by daytime TV celebs, with Loose Women’s Denise Welch, 63, and This Morning stars Judy Finnigan, 73, and Ruth Langsford, 61, making the list.
Harry Lang, of BuzzBingo.com which did the survey, said: “It shows beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
“Even Jeremy Clarkson might admit he is no oil painting but 5% of women think he has something. “There must be hope for all of us.”
