A mum-of-one who walked out of her marital home with just a bag of belongings for her and her daughter has revamped her entire new house with Facebook finds.

Anita Tench Lilley had been furloughed from her job as a cabin crew member with a popular airline and recently lost her mum to cancer when her relationship with her husband broke down.

She said she was at her lowest ebb but decided to leave and create a new life for herself and four-year-old Daisy.

And her success doing up her new home as a single parent on a very tight budget has wowed others on social media, with many asking for her advice and others cheering on her success.

Anita, 45, from Widnes, Cheshire, posted images as she gave each room a makeover with stunning before and after pictures showing the difference her clever finds and personal touches made.

She revamped her bedroom from a plain and empty room to a luxurious suite, with a £10 chandelier, £20 lamps and a gorgeous headboard for £30, all of which she found on Facebook Marketplace or eBay second-hand.

The now single mum also gave unicorn-mad daughter Daisy a pink palace, complete with a huge unicorn mural from Wilko and she upcycled two wardrobes left by the previous owner with some white and pink paints.
