Florian Neuhaus has emerged as a potential target for Liverpool as they look to replace recently departed Georginio Wijnaldum.
The Netherlands international left Anfield at the end of last season, before signing for Paris Saint-Germain on a three-year deal earlier this week.
Jurgen Klopp is likely to source a replacement for Wijnaldum who played an integral role during his tenure on Merseyside.
Mirror Sport revealed that Borussia Monchengladbach star Neuhaus is on the radar for the Reds, with scouts preparing to closely monitor his exploits at Euro 2020.
The 24-year-old is part of Germany’s squad that will need to overcome Portugal and France if they are to reach the knockout stages alone.

Neuhaus goes into the tournament on the back of an impressive campaign in the Bundesliga which saw him score eight times and register as many assists.
German champions Bayern Munich have also been linked, although Neuhaus has suggested he would be open to a move abroad.
“I am a person who likes to dare something. I could very well imagine going abroad. I don't necessarily have to go to Bayern Munich,” he admitted recently.

"But I don't necessarily have to leave either, because I'm currently feeling very much at home at Borussia Mönchengladbach."
While location doesn’t appear to be pivotal in his decision making process, one thing that looks like it will be is winning titles.
Despite his exploits for Gladbach last term, they could only secure an 8th placed finish and the midfielder has outlined that winning honours will be central as he decides his next move.

"I have big goals – and something was missing. What exactly? A title. I want to win titles in my career, that drives me. A year with a title win, that would really be a dream year.
"It's really not that big of an issue for me now," he said back in February. "I play at Borussia, I have a contract, and we as a club are still pursuing very big goals this season.
“I can't say what will happen in the summer at the moment. I'm also very relaxed about the future.
"Borussia is a club where I was able to develop excellently and where everything is there. I know what I have about Borussia."
Liverpool have already confirmed a move for Ibrahima Konate, with Klopp hoping to put a season ravaged by injuries behind them.
Asked about his plans in the window, Klopp hinted that his squad needs improving if they are to compete at the top of the table again.

Last month, he said: “I'm very happy with my squad – very, very happy. Could this squad improve? Yes, like each squad could.
“Is that affordable? I don't know. Is it necessary? I don't know. Whatever happens, we will see, I don't know in this moment, to be honest.
“We have to make decisions in and out, all these kind of things, it's normal in a summer.”
