Caitlyn Jenner has furiously hit back at talk show host Jimmy Kimmel after he appeared to refer to her as ' Donald Trump in a wig'.
The 71-year-old former sports star, who identifies as trans, slammed the television host's recent comments and also took aim at LGBT community for not siding with her.
It came shortly after Jimmy shared a clip of Caitlyn and seemed to mock her appearance on The View.
"Are we sure that isn’t Donald Trump in a Caitlyn Jenner wig? She’s just trying to get attention,” Jimmy told his audience, amid her campaign to become California's next governor.
Caitlyn quickly caught wind of the criticism and suggested that Jimmy thought trans women were men in wigs. She also appeared to use it to blame 'woke Democrats' in a heated critique on social media.

"Last night @jimmykimmel called me Donald Trump with a wig. He obviously believes that trans women are simply men with wigs on. Where is the outrage from the left or LGBT community? Being WOKE must be optional if you are a Democrat," Caitlyn wrote.
While Caitlyn appeared outraged by the comment, many followers suggested that she had interpreted the comment wrong and Jimmy was not actually criticising the trans community.
One Twitter user wrote: "Lmfao that’s not what he meant and you know it, and your attempt at feigned indignation is freaking hilarious. If you can’t handle what Kimmel said you don’t have the temperament for this job."

"i don’t think he meant it in the way youre taking it but i can see why you’re upset," added a second.
Another added: "Where is the outrage from the communities I'm literally campaigning against."
A representative for Jimmy Kimmel has been approached by The Mirror to comment.
Yesterday, Caitlyn called into The View where she was grilled by the presenters about her campaign to become California's governor. During her interview, she also refused to say whether she believes that Donald Trump lost the election and added that she thinks Trump "did do some good things."

"He was a disrupter when he was president. I want to do the same thing," Jenner added. "I want to go in and be a thoughtful disrupter in Sacramento."
The former runner revealed she was running as a candidate for the governor seat on Twitter back in April. She has since admitted that it was harder to reveal she was a Republican than it was to come out as trans.
