A woman on TikTok has revealed how she discovered the jaw-dropping news that the man who had raised her from being a baby – her dad – was not her biological father.

Hillary was only alerted to the fact that there was something off about her family tree after a woman around 20 years older than her contacted her to say she was a DNA match, and asked her for help.

"Gets my DNA tested years ago for literally no reason," Hillary explained on TikTok. "Lady reaches out to me saying we are a DNA match and asks if I can help her find her biological parents."

After delving a bit further into their matched DNA, Hillary and the woman discovered that they are in fact half sisters, and assumed that Hillary's dad had slept with the woman's mum all those years ago – which turned out to be true.

"We discover we are half sisters, we find her birth mum and assume my dad knocked her up when her biological mum confirms sleeping with my dad," she continued.

However, things took a turn when Hillary's story went viral on TikTok, and a reality TV show reached out to to her to ask whether she wanted to dig a little deeper into her DNA story.

"I tell my mum about the story and I can tell she starts to panic," Hillary said, adding: "She tells me my dad is not my dad."

In a follow up video, Hillary explained that her biological father was actually her dad's cousin Jerry, who her mum had a one night stand with while still married to her dad.

So, not only had her dad and her biological dad both slept with the half sister's mum, they had both slept with Hillary's mum too.

Fortunately, Hillary says she isn't bothered about DNA and her dad – the man who raised her – will always be her dad.
