Little Mix and Anne-Marie have been forced to hit pause on recording the video for their hotly-anticipated collaboration due to Covid.

The Voice coach and Black Magic hit-makers were set to hit the studio for recording on Monday but at the last minute the video shoot was halted after one of the crew tested positive for coronavirus.

The pop trio, who last appeared in public together on the red carpet at The Brit Awards, are said to be taking extra precautions as both Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Perrie Edwards are pregnant.

A music insider told The Sun: “Little Mix and Anne-Marie were supposed to be shooting the video for their new single on Monday.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards of Little Mix were last seen together at The BRIT Awards 2021.

“But just hours before, one of the crew tested positive for Covid, meaning everything had to be cancelled.

“Perrie and Leigh-Anne being pregnant means it’s even more of a worry for them."

Both the group's team and Anne-Marie's management had worked hard to bring their artists together in a Covid-secure way and the Little Mix girls are said to be 'gutted' they had to call off the shoot.

The insider added: “Their teams are looking at their diaries now to see if there is another time they are all free and able to make the video happen.

The stars have remained tight-lipped about the track which had been ear-marked for Anne-Marie’s new album Therapy, which is out on July 23.

The Little Mix girls and Anne-Marie has been pals for years with Leigh-Anne even joining her as a guest mentor on The Voice earlier this year.

Unfortunately it's not the first time the Little Mix schedule has been thrown into chaos due to the affects of Covid-19 pandemic.

After posting a list of the re-scheduled tour dates for 2021, Little Mix added: "We can't wait to see you when it is safe to do so!"

But fortunately Anne-Marie managed to keep another collaboration on track as she performed the single 'Our Song' with former One Direction singer Niall Horan 'Our Song' on US TV earlier this week as planned.
