Scott Thomas has reflected on his Love Island journey ahead of the ITV show’s latest series.

The 32-year-old reality star has admitted that although he has grown immensely since his time on the dating show, he looks back on his time in the famous Majorca villa with fond memories.

The handsome TV personality first shot to fame when he stormed onto screens across the UK back in 2016, alongside his Love Island ex-girlfriend Kady McDermott.

While some former Love Island stars have recently come out to say they regret ever appearing on the show, Scott has insisted that it was one of the best experiences of his life.

During a candid Instagram Q&A session, Scott admitted that to him, being on Love Island was a ‘once in a lifetime opportunity’.

One curious fan posed the question: “Watching Love Island and I can’t believe how different you appear. Do you have regrets?”

To which Scott answered: “I’ve grown up so much since then.

“I was very much still a boy on that show who didn’t have much of a direction in life.

“Now I know exactly where I’m going and what I need to do.”

Scott went on to gush about his time on the show, admitting that it was like a dream come true to spend six weeks alongside such beautiful people.

“I have no regrets. It was one of the best experiences of my life looking back.

“Six weeks in a villa, with no phones or a sense of time. Surrounded by beautiful people – it really was special.”

Scott enjoyed a high-profile romance with Kady McDermott during his appearance on Love Island.

The pair became official during their time on the show, and continued to date on the outside world for just over a year.

However, their relationship appeared to crumble in August 2017 when they unfollowed one another on Instagram and a number of weeks later, the pair announced their split.

In an interview at the time, Kady admitted that she felt there was immense pressure on her and Scott's relationship due to the fact they met on Love Island.

It didn’t help that their former co-stars Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen were engaged and Scott and Kady were constantly being compared to the championing couple.
