Noel Gallagher isn't known for holding his tongue and it's girl band Little Mix who have felt his force this time.

The former Oasis man has criticised the decision for the group from the X Factor to be recognised at this year's Brit Awards.

Little Mix won this year's Best British Group award — a title given to his old band Oasis in 1996.

But the star believes that giving the girls the award shows just how far the music industry has changed over the years.

Speaking to The Sun, the High Flying Birds frontman said: "Little Mix, with the greatest respect, are not in the same league as Oasis. Not even in the same f***ing sport.

“It’s a symptom of the music business chasing the numbers — and there not being any bands or songwriters in those bands."

And he said that record companies no longer know what to look for when it comes to the "real deal", saying that maybe it's because "bands are hard work".

The 54-year-old confessed that he can't stand "preachy" modern bands who always have to thank fans instead of just getting on with the music during a concert.

He said one of the biggest culprits is Coldplay's Chris Martin, but claimed pretty much every act to follow Oasis is guilty of it.

"We were kind of like, ‘We don’t have to remind people why they’re here. They’re f***ing here to see us,' he blasted before saying we now live in a world where we have to constantly praise people.

His latest outburst comes at a time where he also laid into Prince Harry for his recent behaviour towards the royal family.

He branded the Duke of Sussex a "snowflake" and said he knew what it felt like to have a brother who mouths off.

The rocker, who famously feuded with his brother Liam for years, appeared to sympathise with Prince Harry's older brother Prince William, calling the Harry's recent behaviour "unnecessary".

And he called himself the "William" of his family.

"He’s got a f***ing younger brother shooting his f***ing mouth off with s*** that is just so unnecessary," he said. "I’d like to think I was always the William."

The Wonderwall hitmaker had been trolled by brother Liam online at the end of May seemingly suggesting that any eagerly awaited Oasis reunion is still no closer to happening.

Noel had invited fans to ask him questions on social media, but his brother brutally replied: "Why you such a massive c***?"
