A woman has shared an incredibly simple body hack that gets rid of your gag reflexes – making Covid tests easier to swallow.

Gemma Lawson, 36, is a mother and avid TikTok user, and spotted the hack on another video circulating the social media site.

She was so impressed that she decided to give it a go for herself, and then shared the results with her fan in a video that has since gone viral with 74,300 likes.

In the video, Gemma, from Cheltenham, demonstrates the step-by-step process of how to get rid of your gag reflex – and it's easier than you'd think.

In the clip, Gemma pushes her right thumb into her hand and squeezes it into a fist as hard as she can, before placing her right index finger on her chin and counting to five.

Then, she squeezes the skin in between her right index finger and thumb for five seconds. Finally, Gemma sticks her fingers in her mouth to test the gag reflex – and is shocked to find that the trick has worked.

Social media users have been left equally stunned by the peculiar method.
