Liverpool clinched Champions League football after a brilliant end to the season but Jurgen Klopp knows he must strengthen his squad.
Injuries to Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez derailed their season as they looked to defend the Premier League.
It saw results go down south and Klopp made a centre-back a priority in the transfer window.
And the Reds moved quickly to secure their top target in the shape of Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig in a £35m deal.
The Frenchman has been tipped for greatness and could slot in ahead of next season with Van Dijk and Gomez targetting full fitness to launch another title bid.

But the 22-year-old is not the only one on to be linked with a move to Anfield while there could be more outgoings than incomings.
Georginio Wijnaldum has already agreed to sign for Paris Saint-Germain this month when his contract expires, ending his five-year stint at Liverpool.
It remains to be seen whether or not the Dutchman will be replaced but Klopp was sad to see him go after playing every game in the Premier League last season.

One player that is unlikely to fill the void is Marko Grujic, who looks set to be sold for £15m this summer, according to The Athletic.
After spending the season on loan to Porto, they are keen on keeping him on a permanent basis and are in the process of selling Sergio Oliveira to Fiorentina to raise the necessary funds.
The Primeira Liga outfit are not the only ones interested with teams in Italy and Germany also eyeing the 25-year-old, who was Klopp's first signing as Liverpool manager.

Two players that look to join the Serbian out the exit door is Harry Wilson and Divock Origi, are are both valued similarly to Grujic.
Wilson spent the season on loan to Cardiff City but his future will likely be resolved after the Euros this summer while Origi has played a bit-part role over the last campaign and is desperate for game-time.
Taiwo Awoniyi, Loris Karius, Sheyi Ojo, Ben Woodburn and Liam Millar are all set to be moved on while the jury is out for Takumi Minamino.
Liverpool are not keen on another loan move for the Japan international while Southampton retain an interest in the forward.
It means if a big bid comes in, the Reds' resolve will likely be tested – considering he only arrived for a relative bargain fee of around £7m.
Offers are also expected to come in for Xherdan Shaqiri – who made just seven starts last season – as Liverpool look to bring in £60m.
The club owners have made improving the infrastructure around the stadium which includes building 7,000 extra seats.
