As they shared a scooter along the streets of New York, David Schwimmer and his daughter made for an adorable sight in a rare captured appearance together in public.

The private actor is rarely pictured with his daughter Cleo Buckman Schwimmer whom he shares with his ex-wife Zoe Buckman.

The 54-year-old was married 10-year-old Cleo's mother from 2010 until their split in 2017.

The father and daughter were snapped riding along he NoHo neighbourhood of New York City on Monday as they shared an electric scooter.

The actor, famous for his role as Ross Geller in the hit TV show Friends, stood behind his child as her helmet-free head showcased her hot pink crop of hair.

The actor looked relaxed in a casual ensemble of clothes as he led the way scooting around New York.

According to the New York City Department Of Transportation, helmets are recommended for all e-scooter riders, and 'required for 16 and 17 year olds.' Riders have to be at least 16 years of age.

However, while they may both have been helmet-free, safety was still a priority for the pair as they both rode with masks covering their face due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Doting father David was in control of the scooter at all times – vigilantly looking for traffic while navigating their way around the busy streets.

The star looked comfortable and relaxed in a casual blue polo shirt, shorts and blue trainers – teamed with a cap and backpack.

His daughter looked cooler than her famous dad as she wore a peach T-shirt and fashionable denim shorts with cartoon drawings of a child and hearts on the front.

David's public appearance comes after he shocked Friends fans with the revelations that he and his former co-star Jennifer Aniston had huge crushes on each other during their early days of filming the iconic show.

While the father and daughter followed coronavirus regulations with a mask, the pair went helmet-free while riding.

Speaking on the long-awaited reunion special which aired last month, the actor said: "During the first season I had a major crush on Jen."

His crush was reciprocated by his on-screen love interest as he added that the feeling was mutual.

The co-stars never acted on their feelings for one another however as they were both in relationships at the time.

Speaking about their flirting on set, David also said: "In the first year or two there were moments we would cuddle on the couch and I was thinking, how did not everyone know we were crushing on each other?

The actor recently revealed that he and co-star Jennifer Aniston had a crush on each other during the early days of Friends.

It was a situation we couldn't do anything about, because one of us was always in a relationship and we never crossed that boundary, we respected that."

Their four other cast-mates admitted they were aware of the sexual tension between the two actors but Courtney Cox revealed she's glad the pair next got together off-camera.

The actress, who played David's on-screen sister, said: "It's probably good you didn't [get together]. It might not have been as good for the show."
