Piers Morgan hit headlines this week after he called out model Emily Ratajkowski over the way she was carrying her baby, but it's not the first time the telly star has been embroiled in a high profile feud.

He's become well-known for his spats with celebrities over the years, taking on pop stars, Hollywood royalty, models and even actual royalty.

However, Piers, 56, recently found himself unemployed after his most high-profile feud to date – with Meghan Markle – ended up costing him his job on Good Morning Britain.

The former newsman was forced to step down from his presenting role after he refused to apologise for his rants about the Duchess of Sussex, as he vehemently insisted he didn't believe many of the claims she made about royal life in her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Now after finding himself back in the spot light over his posts about model mummy Emily, we take a look back at some of Piers' celebrity feuds – and the women who've refused to put up with his insults.

Probably his most high profile feud to date, Piers had spent years voicing negative opinions about Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.

Many thought his ire stemmed from his claims that she ghosted him after befriending him before she started dating Prince Harry.

Piers insisted he was not holding a grudge, calling Meghan a "ruthless social climber".

But it was only after her interview with Oprah Winfrey aired in March, that the feud turned really nasty.

After a number of blazing rants on GMB, Piers was asked by his bosses to apologise on air – and he had to step down when he refused.

It later emerged Meghan had contacted ITV about Piers rants, with the telly star admitting in his recent 60 Minutes interview the duchess had "personally complained to the boss of my company".

Little Mix

Little Mix posed naked for their Strip single

Piers took aim at girl group Little Mix back in 2018 when he accused them of using sex to sell records.

The band, then made up of Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jesy Nelson, and Jade Thirwall, had just released a promo image for their track Strip which appeared to set him off.

In the shot, the women were seen naked with insults including "slutty", "talentless" and "ugly" scrawled on their bare skin.

Piers laid into the pop group on Good Morning Britain, ranting: "What is empowering about this?

"Get your kit off, airbrush yourself to within an inch of your lives… it's nonsense.

"It's just stripping off to sell records. It's actually using sex and sexuality to sell records. That's it. There’s nothing else to this."

Piers added: "Here’s a good idea, you really want to empower yourselves? Get naked and put the word slut all over your body!

"I get insults every single day, I don’t take my clothes off and adorn my body in them."

It didn't take long for the pop stars to hit back at him, addressing his comments in an interview on BBC Radio 1.

Jesy Nelson insisted she wasn't surprised by his comments, saying: "Of course not[I'm not surprised], he's a silly t**t."

She apologised for her use of bad language, and her bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock jumped in, adding, "The word she was looking for was 'idiot'."

Afterwards, Piers attempted to convinced the band to come on his show to explain themselves, tweeting: "If you're brave enough @LittleMix – come on @GMB tomorrow & say when you've just been saying about me on Radio One to my face.

"Then we can debate your cynical exploitation of nudity to sell records…"

Ariana Grande

Piers' remarks about Little Mix prompted another feud with another pop star – Ariana Grande and her mother Joan.

Joan was first to call him out on Twitter over his comments about Little Mix, writing: "Honestly what is wrong with you @piersmorgan?

"Didn’t your mother ever teach you, if you have nothing nice to say, don't say it!"

He then tweeted back: "I'd just prefer they [Little Mix] use their talent to sell records rather than their nudity. As your own daughter does…"

It came to Ariana's attention, and she then waded into the spat, tweeting: "keep fighting the fight divas @LittleMix your sisters have your back."

She then added: "I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because I choose to.

"Women can be sexual AND talented. Naked and dignified. It's our choice. And we keep fighting until people understand. I say this with all due respect but thank you, next.

"Also @piersmorgan, I look forward to the day you realise there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticise young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do.

"I think that'll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what's left of it."

Emily Ratajkowski

Piers took aim at Blurred Lines star Emily this week by calling her out over the way she was holding her baby in a picture posted on Instagram.

However, it wasn't the first time the pair had clashed.

Back in 2018, Piers took aim at Emily over a video she filmed for LOVE magazine which showed her rolling around in her underwear covered in spaghetti.

During a turn on GMB, he said: "I don't know quite what she is. She's a global bimbo.

Piers co-host Susanna Reid then chimed in, saying: "Piers has got a personal vendetta against her. She likes to think taking her clothes off is promoting feminism."

Piers then went on: "She's posted something on Instagram about how what we are watching now is unbelievably empowering to feminists.

"For goodness sake – get some clothes on and get yourself a proper job."

He then added on Twitter: "This is Emily Ratajkowski ‘promoting feminism’. Somewhere, Emmeline Pankhurst just vomited."

It came to Emily's attention and she hit back, tweeting: "Lol, never said my love video was a feminist statement.

"But now it's worth saying that telling women what to do with their bodies and sexuality is actually just classic sexism.

“I can have opinions about feminism and also do sexy photo shoots – okay. Thanks."

Lady Gaga

It was pop star Lady Gaga's turn to feel the wrath of Piers after she bravely opened up about her battle with post-traumatic stress disorder.

She went public with her PTSD during an interview on American TV, explaining she'd been the victim of sexual assault and it had left her with mental health issues.

However, Piers wasn't having it.

He shared a video clip of Gaga talking about her problems, and tweeted: "No, soldiers returning from battlefields do. Enough of this vain-glorious nonsense…

"I come from a big military family. It angers me when celebrities start claiming 'PTSD' about everything to promote themselves."

The singer later responded and offered to share some of the work she'd been doing with then US Vice President Joe Biden, writing: "I've work w/ our VP Joe Biden on helping educate people about why women don't report, would love to share it w/ you some time."

Piers then asked Gaga to sit for an interview with him and she agreed, tweeting back: "Would also love to talk with you about PTSD, that it's not just a "military" disorder. There is a mental health youth epidemic…

"If anyone in your family suffers from it, I pray they have more good days than bad. It has affected me & my whole family."
