Mark Wright has discussed his weight gain after returning from a holiday in Portugal.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 34, had enjoyed a sun-drenched and drinks-filled holiday with his family on the Algarve, including wife Michelle Keegan last week.

Now the hunky television presenter has returned home to his leafy home in England that he shares with his actress other half and has reflected on how the relaxed break has impacted his fitness regime.

Stripping off his top for a video posted to his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Mark spoke honestly to his followers about the break.

Mark said: "I went on holiday last week, got back on Monday, weighed myself before I went.

"I've gained three kilos. That's a lot for me and that's all body fat because I didn't do any weights whilst I was there so if anything it could have been more than that because I would have lost muscle and size when I was there.

"But listen, I'm back now. It's time to get back on this train ride…"

He added: "I'm not going to lie, I fell off this [wagon] for a couple of weeks, probably due to work, launching the book and everything. Been busy."

However, the TOWIE legend reiterated his commitment to returning to his fitness regime and being a "beast" now he's back and engaging in sweaty workouts.

Mark and Michelle had been joined on holiday by his sister Jess Wright and her' fiance William Lee-Kemp, brother Josh wright and his wife Hollie, his sister Natalya and her boyfriend and both of Mark's parents Big Mark Wright and Carole.

The family had shared numerous snaps from their drinks and meals out on the Algarve as they made the most of international travel resuming.

Mark made it back to the UK before the new rules of Portugal moving onto the 'Amber list' of countries were enforced on Tuesday.

Travellers who returned from Portugal after Tuesday's deadline are now required to take a PCR Covid test before they depart and then need to provide a negative test to travel.

They must also then quarantine and take – and pay for – two further two tests on days two and eight of their 10-day quarantine.
