Smart home devices are now a mainstay in many of our homes, and Google's Nest smart home range are some of the most popular devices shoppers are choosing to invest in.

Not only do many of the devices operate as great audio speakers for listening to music, audiobooks and podcasts, they also are great multifunctional tools that can connect to a plethora of other smart home devices in your home too.

There's also the added bonus of them also being integrated with Google Assistant meaning you can operate using voice commands.

The range even features smart speakers with video screens, opening up even more uses around the home.

Prices range from £49.99 for the Nest Mini 2nd Gen model (although AO.com are currently selling it for £33) up to £219.99 for Nest Hub Max, so there really is something for every budget and need.

Best Google Nest smart home deals for May 2021 1. Nest Mini (2nd Gen)

The second generation of Google's most popular smart speaker comes with even better sound quality, double the bass and better voice recognition capabilities.

It comes in four stylish colours – chalk, charcoal, coral and sky blue – so you can pick one that most suits your home decor.

The outer fabric is also made from a durable material made from recycled plastic bottles.

Specs: Diameter: 98 mm, height: 42 mm (1.65"), Chromecast and Chromecast Audio built-in, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, Google Assistant and Micro USB port.

2. Google Home Max

The sound is incredible – but it comes at a steep price

This is Google's largest smart speaker and it comes in two colours – chalk and charcoal.

While it will set you back a few hundred pounds, you do get a lot for your money including premium quality audio in a compact audio system, complete with Google's beautiful minimalist design.

The speaker can automatically tweak equalizer settings to ensure optimum audio for the room layout all thanks to its internal microphones.

Sadly the model has been discontinued, but there is limited stock available from some major retailers if you want to snap one up before it is too late.

3. Nest Audio

Google has tipped its newest Nest Audio device as its 'biggest and best sounding speaker' yet, with all the functionality of the classic Google Home speakers that have come before.

The stylish device, which comes in five soft pastel shades, offers crisp sound and powerful bass to fill any room in your home thanks to woofer, tweeter and tuning software.

The speaker will also adapt to what you are listening too, so if you music or audiobooks are clear and crisp.

You can even pair two of the Nest Audio devices for more impactful sound throughout your home too. Or connect to your other compatible smart home devices via the Google Home app.

4. Nest Hub

The Nest Hub is the Amazon Echo Show's main rival.

With the Nest Hub device you get full YouTube support (ideal for watching music video, trailers, cooking videos).

Like Google's other devices it can also link up to all your other smart home devices, so you can control your Nest or light bulbs from the Hub's easy-to-use screen.

The only real downside is it doesn't have a camera for video calls.

5. Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen)

It may look very similar to its predecessor, but the Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) does have some worthwhile upgrades to take not of.

The new and improved device features a new Sleep Sensing that tracks your sleep patterns, while the Quick Gestures function means you can control many Nest Hub features by waving your hands. The Motion Sense even detects the movement without a camera.

It doesn't have a front camera so you'll have added privacy but it does feature a 7-inch touchscreen display that's perfect for watching videos or TV shows on Netflix.

It also comes in four stylish colours – Chalk, Charcoal, Sand and Mist.
