After a year of lockdowns and Covid restrictions, the BAFTA TV Awards opened up the red carpet to a host of fabulously dressed stars ahead of tonight's glitzy bash.

The biggest names on the box were out in force in their suitably glamorous attire as they prepare to battle it out at the prestigious ceremony.

Comedian Richard Ayoade will be hosting the event which will air on BBC One at 7pm.

The likes of Gogglebox, EastEnders and The Crown are among the list of nominees hoping to pick up a bronze statuette this year.

While Years and Years star Olly Alexander will be entertaining those inside the Television Centre with a rousing performance to kick-off proceedings.

In a change to usual proceedings, this year's line-up of guest presenters will appear at the bash in person and a few via hologram.

Gogglebox sisters Eli and Izzi swapped the sofa for the red carpet for the night as they arrived dressed in ultra glamorous floor-length gowns.

Izzi looked stunning in a clinging sequinned gown while purple-haired sister Ellie opted for a quirky pink number that featured a gold printed pattern, which she matched with some killer platform heels.

Along with the rest of the Gogglebox cast, the siblings are up for the TV Moment of the Year award tonight for their reaction to Boris Johnson's Covid press conference.

Billie Piper showed off her fashion credentials in an 80s inspired mini dress, complete with an oversized pink bow and sleeve detailing.

The award-winning actress completed her bold look with her brunette locks piled into a chic high pony tail and completed the look with some towering stiletto heels.

Claudia Winkleman

Also representing Strictly at the awards, is host Claudia Winkleman.

Claudia arrived in a fabulous black and silver fringed number while rocking her trademark blunt fringe and eyeliner.

Helena Bonham Carter

Never one to shy away from bold choices, Helena Bonham Carter made a dramatic entrance in a summery polka dot number that featured a flowing full-skirt.

The Crown star appeared to have a ball showing off her dress to the cameras while posing in her quirky shades ahead of the bash.

Stacey Dooley


Documentary maker Stacey Dooley opted for a classic little black dress for the occassion.

The former Strictly winner was papped leaving her hotel after a meeting with her glam squad as she strutted her way over to the television centre.

Jessica Plummer

BAFTA nominee and former EastEnders star Jessica Plummer opted for head to toe silver

EastEnders actress and I'm A Celebrity star Jessica Plummer made the most of the warm weather in a stunning silver crop top and ruffled mini skirt ensemble.

The star is up for TV moment of the year for her character Chantelle's haunting death on the BBC soap.

Jessica's domestic abuse storyline culminated in her falling backwards onto the dishwasher following a row with partner Gray Atkins, played by Toby Alexander Smith.

Daisy May Cooper

Actress Daisy May Cooper turned heads as she made a dramatic entrance in a dazzling sequinned number.

Daisy is a previous BAFTA winner herself having picked up the Best Female Comedy Performance award in 2010 for her role as Kerry Mucklowe in This Country.

Jodie Comer

Killing Eve star Jodie Comer opted for a very chic tailored trousers and silk shirt combo for the awards.

The actress is up for the award of Leading Actress during the ceremony, an accolade she previously picked up in 2019 for the hugely popular BBC show.

Bradley Walsh and partner Donna Derby

Bradley Walsh is hoping to pick up an award for quiz show The Chase

The Chase host Bradley Walsh was looking super suave for the occasion in his black suit and bow-tie.

The popular ITV quiz show is up for best Daytime show at the awards.

Bradley was supported on the night by his partner Donna who was elegantly dressed in an asymmetrical monochrome gown which she finished up with some striking gold accessories.

Diversity's Ashley and Jordan Banjo

Diversity stars and brothers Ashley and Jordan Banjo arrived suited and booted for the bash as they hope to pick up their first BAFTA.

The boys and their dance group are nominated for the TV moment of the year category for their Black Lives Matter inspired routine on Britain's Got Talent last year.

The performance drew record breaking Ofcom complaints but has been heralded by supporters for bringing an important political message to ITV primetime.
