We've recently seen a number of amazing cleaning hacks that promise to make household items look "good as new" – from fixing up mouldy shower tiles to removing dirt from Pandora bracelets.

Another popular one has resurfaced which helps get rid of stains from your old baking trays without spending too long scrubbing at them.

And the best part is that it's really cheap to do and will only cost you 2p.

The trick was first shared in January 2020 by Louise Wright on the Facebook group, Hinch Army Cleaning Tips, where she posted before and after pictures, urging people not to throw out their dirty baking trays.

She wrote: "Don't bin baking trays.

"I spend a fortune on baking trays because I buy the cheaper range and they don't last long being marked by tough cooking stains.

"But I tried the 2p trick going about and it worked."

Louise then went on to explain exactly what you need to do to try it for yourself, saying: "Rub baking tray with the 2p and then wash as you would with daily dishes

Hundreds of people liked and commented on the post, thanking Louise for sharing the life hack.

One person responded saying: "Fabulous, thank you."

Another said: "OMG the money I've wasted throwing them away."

"Will give this a go now," vowed someone else. "Thanks for sharing."

A third branded it a "game-changer".

Similarly, a different user said the 2p trick also works on removing lime scale from the end of taps – and we're bet that's not all it's useful for.
