Hollyoaks star Kelle Bryan has addressed terrifying scenes next week that could see killer Toby Faroe strike again – just as the soap makes its big return to five episodes a week from Monday.

After getting angry at Martine next week, spoilers have confirmed the character takes a deadly revenge as he prepares to kill his own mum.

Trapping her in the garage, Toby proceeds to pour petrol all around the building and plans to set it on fire.

His sister Celeste stumbles across him as he is about to spark the flames, and she realises Martine is trapped inside.

It seems Martine isn't aware of what is going on outside, but could she be about to find out his killer ways and pay the price?

Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, actress Kelle discussed the scenes and the possible fallout.

While remaining tight lipped over whether this is the end for Martine, the star hinted that "loose cannon" Toby could really be capable of anything.

She told us: "Toby is a live wire, and we can never tell what he’s going to do. As far as Martine’s concerned, she’s unaware of him being capable of murder but what’s to come is pretty much a knife edge.

"It's like living with that person in your family that’s kind of a loose cannon and you’re never really sure which way they’re going to go…"

Speaking of the big scenes to air next week, she went on: "I think when she gets locked in the garage, she decides that she needs to show Toby who is boss, and who is in control.

"This is her opportunity to say, 'yes I am your mum, I’m glad you’re back in my life, but equally I am your mother, and you will not test me'.

"The kind of mother and son respect has to come into play and that’s when she literally puts her foot down to Toby and lets him know who’s in charge."

While Martine currently has no idea that Toby killed her niece Lisa Loveday, and sent her son Mitchell away from the village, she could be suspicious over his recent behaviour.

She explained: "Martine does have an inkling about how dangerous Toby is because she knows it was him that attacked Felix.

"She knew her motherly instincts knew that he was a danger, and that he was a bit of a loose cannon, and because he shared all of his psychological make up in terms of his background and how he was raised and he was devoid of love, she knows that his emotional stability and reasoning skills are completely depleted, I guess almost void, so she knows he’s capable of anything."

Hollyoaks airs weeknights at 6:30pm on Channel 4, with the next episode at 7pm on E4.
