Coronation Street spoilers have confirmed a character return for next week – with it not previously known that Ray Crosby knew the person in question.

Gangster Mick Chaney is back, months after threatening to murder Todd Grimshaw – who he revealed to be an ex who conned him out of his money.

The character was last seen holding Eileen Grimshaw hostage, before Gary Windass knocked him out.

Mick soon returned the favour and beat him up, before he made a swift exit.

But he returns next week on the ITV soap, with actor Neil Bell reprising the role for a stint.
