Katie Price is said to be in 'agonising pain' over her foot injuries and has been told by doctors to 'wear her hospital boots again.'

The advice comes after Katie appeared to have been making great progress in her recovery by walking again months before doctors predicted.

The 42-year-old broke both her feet during a holiday to Turkey last summer after she jumped over a wall without realising there was a 25ft drop on the other side.

However, after taking her first steps back in Novembe Katie's progress has taken a turn.

The model attended a hospital appointment with boyfriend Carl Woods in London today after which she was seen putting her feet up in her moon boots on the dashboard of her car.

A source then told The Sun that Katie has taken a step back in her recovery – but precaution is necessary given the amount of pain she is in.

They explained: "Katie has been left in agonising pain from walking recently so made a hospital appointment to check on how she's healing.

"Unfortunately, they decided that it's best for her to go back in the boots for a little while and hold off on using her feet again.

"Katie is devastated by this as in November she thought she was truly on the path for a full recovery, but she is following medical advice and will be sticking to the boots so that she can hopefully get back on her feet sooner rather than later."

Katie had been told she wouldn't be able to walk for 18 months after her accident at the theme park.

The mum-of-five said the pain was so unbearable she thought she would lose both her legs or never walk again.

"We were just all mucking about. It was just a small wall which had flowers on top and I thought it was the same height the other side — but it was a 25ft drop.

"I landed on my feet and it was like cement. I tried to get up and I couldn’t. Then this pain just hit my legs and I’m screaming, ‘My legs! My legs!'" she recalled.

After making such speedy progress, Katie was accused of faking her injuries after she was seen walking around in the Maldives months later – a rumour she quickly shot down with graphic photographs of her 'mangled' feet.

One of the photos showed Katie's swollen right foot, which was marked with a huge L-shaped scar running from her ankle down towards her toe with the same thick black stitches also appearing on her left side.

To further prove her point, Katie shared X-ray images that showed the pins in her feet that have rendered her unable to walk for up to six months.

In the accompanying caption Katie did not hold back as she ranted about her 'life-changing' injuries.

"For people who said I haven’t broken my feet or people saying I had a bunion operation ( even though I’ve never had bunions) still won’t admit they wrongly accused me and speculated again saying I’ve made it all up , will now see I wasn’t lying to the point I’ve had MAJOR SURGERY to my life changing injuries,' she fired.
