AJ Pritchard lost the chance to become the first King of the Castle last night after he was booted out of I'm A Celebrity last night with Mo Farah.

But he was dealt a couple of awkward digs from his campmates following his departure.

This came after the Strictly star fought against Jordan to do the trial last night, leading to some tense moments in camp.

When Vernon Kay had suggested that they do Rock Paper Scissors, AJ replied: "It’s not the way I usually work but . . . "

A frustrated Vernon had gone on to ask AJ how he suggested deciding, prompting Giovanna to point out that they had gone by numbers.

Eventually, it was decided that AJ would take part in the trial with Mo.

Speaking ahead of his exit, AJ had said in the Telegraph: "The pressure is so much higher now. Knowing that one or two people could be going home, the odds are starting to stack up against you.

"This is the best experience I’ve ever done and I don’t want it to end."

While Giovanna said that having two people leave "left a big hole", she gushed about Mo's presence in camp.

"Mo had this amazing glint in his eye," she said. "He didn’t need to say much, there was just this look, this cheekiness, this naughtiness. He’ll be massively missed. He has this gently sweet, energy that is simply beautiful.”

Vernon added that Mo "slowly came out", but said pointedly: "I think AJ wanted to go all the way. He’s got burning ambition is the best way to put it.”

Jordan also spoke about AJ's ambitiousness, but remarked: "AJ’s a great lad, a really nice genuine guy, very ambitious, really talented as well. I did think he was going to be in the final."
