Paul Pogba has congratulated his teammates after their brilliant win over Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Red Devils thrashed the Turkish minnows 4-1, which saw a brace from Bruno Fernandes – including an absolute howitzer of an opener.
Marcus Rashford scored from the penalty spot and Daniel James added another late on after coming on as a sub.
But one player not involved was Pogba, who was mysteriously left out of the squad altogether.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that the Frenchman had aggravated an ankle problem, which hounded his season last year.
"His [Pogba] ankle has swollen up," Solskjaer told MUTV.

It remains to be seen whether or not it is the same ankle that gave him so much trouble last season.
Pogba had to undergo surgery that ruled him out for a sizeable chunk of the campaign.
It saw him make just 16 appearances in the Premier League, scoring once, while his future has been talked up after he admitted this was a tough period in his career.
Paul Pogba congratulated his teammates on Instagram
With the arrival of Donny van de Beek, the unerring form of Bruno Fernandes and the preferred midfield pivot of Fred and Scott McTominay, it remains to be seen where Pogba fits in.
Over the international break, he told RTL France: "I had never known such a difficult period in my career.
"The France team is a breath of fresh air, the group is exceptional, it’s magic."
But Solskjaer has urged patience on the £89m man's behalf.
“Of course, he’s not happy when he’s not been playing and not playing really well," Solskjaer said last week.

"He’s not been happy with his [club performances]. But Paul had a difficult season last season. Then he had Covid.
"I think he’s going to improve and be a very important player, and person, for us. To have him in form is vital.”
