Getting engaged should be one of the happiest days of your life and for one woman it was also the funniest – as she swatted her fiancé as he got down on one knee.

The hilarious moment was captured on camera leaving people in stitches at her shocked reaction.

In the video, which was filmed at Disneyland, Gracie O'Neill and her boyfriend can be seen posing for photos.

As she pulls away, the man gets down on one knee and she playfully swats him and says "stop", clearly thinking he was joking.

But it was in fact a real proposal. Whoops.

He says "No, this time I'm actually not kidding," and you can see the shock in her face.

She added: "He had trolled me so many times

"But on this particular day, when he proposed, earlier this morning we were with his whole family taking pictures and he got down on one knee and trolled me again.

"I was kind of uncomfortable at this point because I really wanted to be engaged and get married and we didn't really agree on it.

"So the fact he kept trolling me in front of his family just really bothered me.

"So after when he asked me 'are you okay, what's going on?'

"And I said 'I just don't know how to react when you keep doing this in front of your family because you know how important it is for me that we get engaged.

"And he said 'I totally get it, I'm so sorry, next time I won't be joking and I won't mess around with you any more.

"And I said 'Oh my gosh, thank you,' so when he got down on one knee obviously I thought it was a joke and it wasn't."

In another video, Gracie added that she thought had "ruined" the video at any time.

But luckily the couple now view it as a hilarious moment.

She said: "Looking back, even though it's so embarrassing, it's so funny for us to look back and laugh at it.

"And it was so genuine, so we are happy."
