I’m A Celebrity star Ruthie Henshall’s hidden pain after beloved sister’s suicide

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! star Ruthie Henshall faced tragedy over a decade ago with the death of her sister by suicide.

Back in 2007, Ruthie's sister Noel Henshall took her own life at the age of 49, leaving those who love her heartbroken.

The actress, now 53, previously spoke about the tragic period in her family's life.

Speaking to the Telegraph in 2008, Ruthie revealed: "I want to remember her as this crazy, wonderful sister who looked after me, not dying.

"You have no idea how ugly suicide is. People have this romantic idea that you take some pills, get found and everyone will cry at the funeral.

"But Noel was in a coma on life support by the time we reached the hospital in California. Her kidneys were packing up and her whole body was swollen."
