After a two-week hiatus the Premier League returns this weekend, but does so following a hectic schedule of international fixtures.

Players have been flying across the world on duty for their countries, battling against coronavirus restrictions, jet lag, and of course the small matter of competitive football.

Liverpool were already dealing with an injury crisis in their defence going into the break, which was immediately made worse as Joe Gomez joined their growing list of casualties.

Mohamed Salah is also sidelined after contracting Covid-19, while Man Utd welcome back Alex Telles after he finally managed to shake off the virus.

The break has been a welcome chance for those on the injury table to ramp up their return to action, though.
