She confessed she was simply too afraid to stay at the house on her own as her sons Zachary, 12, and Leighton, eight, as well as boyfriend Joe, 38, were all out.
Following Stacey’s evening of terror, Joe has revealed how the episode made him “feel wanted”.
The former EastEnders actor has told how he was spending time with his son, Harry, 13, from a previous relationship that evening and admitted his telly personality partner can "get herself worked up and worried when she's on her own”.

Speaking to the Express, Joe admitted Stacey’s moment of panic while he was away from home made him feel “needed” and “wanted”.
The actor said her ordeal was “something that Stacey does every now and again”.
“She does get herself worked up and worried when she’s on her own,” he told the publication.
“I wasn’t worried because I knew she’d be fine and she’s got her sister if she needs her around the corner.”
Joe said he saw the positive side to Stacey’s decision to leave in the middle of the night, as it proved she “can’t live without him”.

“Like, oh look – can’t live without me!”
The couple’s relationship has gone from strength to strength recently, with Joe even admitting he will “definitely” be asking Stacey to marry him.
He finally confirmed getting hitched is on the agenda, addressing the constant rumours.
The pair have remained tight-lipped about their marriage plans, with Stacey even saying any plans were on the back burner as weddings “make her cringe”.
