After months of anticipation, the PlayStation 5 finally went on sale in the UK today.

While many people are eager to get their hands on the PS5, unfortunately many retailers have already sold out.

Now, Call of Duty has announced that it’s giving away a free PlayStation 5 as part of a new bundle competition.

It tweeted: “Here's your chance to play #blackopscoldwar on next-gen with our #PS5 bundle competition!”

The competition has a range of prizes, including a PlayStation 5 console, an Astro A50 Wireless + Base Station, an LG Ultragear Gaming Monitor, a DRKN x Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Legacy Hoodie and a Black Ops Cold War Gym Bag.

To enter, simply follow @CallofDutyUk on Twitter, retweet the competition post and tag a friend using the hashtag #BlackOpsColdWar.

While many customers have started to receive their consoles, it seems that many won’t get their PS5 today.

An issue appears to be affecting customers who pre-ordered their console through GAME, with many receiving an email that ‘not all orders due to be delivered will be delivered on release day.’

The email reads: “Due to the volume of PlayStation 5’s in the UK market and the size of the product, the launch has led to UK wide delivery challenges for all Retailers and Couriers.

“Our aim has always been to ensure that as many orders arrive on time for release day as possible therefore, we have had to secure multiple couriers to help try to achieve this.

“However, for reasons beyond the control of GAME, YODEL have informed us today (18th November) that not all orders due to be delivered by them will be delivered on release day.

“This is due to capacity issues inter delivery network and may mean that your tracking information is not fully updated until Friday.”

Meanwhile, some Amazon customers have also reported delays on their PS5 orders.

One Amazon customer sent Mirror Online a screenshot of his delivery notes, having received an update at 07:29 this morning that his delivery had been delayed 'due to external factors.'

Another said: "My son's PS5 is also going to be delayed. This was ordered 1 minute after the pre orders went live. Been on chat to Amazon customer service for an hour and a half and they have just said “wait until Sunday and if it doesn’t arrive contact us”.

"They have been able to offer no explanation for the delay and advised they cannot contact their own delivery department."
