A dining room ready for a Mad Hatter Tea Party, a bedroom in a forest where you can search for a white rabbit, and a tribute to the Queen of Hearts all await guests at a whimsical Alice in Wonderland themed stay in Bath.

That's because one of the city's townhouses has been decked out to pay tribute to Lewis Carroll 's iconic novel, and it's filled with quirky tributes and fun surprises for fans of the story.

One of the main highlights is the large dining room with a long table, and walls covered in floral patterns so that you feel as if you've stepped into a real-life enchanted garden, filled with flowers and even a huge chandelier covered in artificial blooms to add to the overall effect.

Then there are the extra touches such as a statue of the White Rabbit and a giant pocket watch so you don't lose track of time. Oh, and of course there's plenty of crockery if you're thinking of having your own Mad Hatter Tea Party!

Meanwhile, the living room celebrates the Queen of Hearts' reign with large playing cards adorning the walls, furniture in shades of red, black and white, and artwork celebrating some of the novel's iconic quotes.

All of the bedrooms are individually decorated, from a room inspired by a dense green forest where you can keep an eye out for the White Rabbit, to a room with heaps of hearts and red furniture in a nod to, well, the Queen of Hearts.

Everything about the property is pretty whimsical, and it's proven a hit with guests who have stayed, with the property boasting an overall 4.31* review on Airbnb.

As well as its charming interiors, the property also boasts a handy location in the centre of Bath, so it's a short walk whether you're looking to explore the Roman Baths or just want to take in the architecture and check out the local shops and restaurants.

Prices start from £260 a night (there's a two-night minimum stay). Usually the property can host up to 16 people so that works out at approximately £16.25pp a night, but obviously during the pandemic it's unlikely you'll be able to have a gathering with a group of that size.
