Jordan North’s mum admits he is a wimp as he struggles through his I’m A Celebrity trials – and she has been voting for him to do more.
Radio 1 DJ Jordan, 30, was sick before he abseiled into the show on Sunday night, and has been involved in every trial since.
He was seen shaking and crying in the Viper Vault with Shane Richie and last night he triumphed in the Frights of the Round Table eating trial.
Mum Wendy says: “It’s awful because I don’t know whether to vote for him or not vote for him, I don’t know whether I’m doing the right thing, but I used all five votes on him. Is that a good thing as a mother?

“When I saw him [in Viper Vault] I just wanted to give him big love. It was awful and then from that he’s just triumphed, I can’t believe it.
“He’s gone from such fear into actually getting nine stars – it’s amazing.”
She is proud of her boy but reckons he has gone soft since moving to London after growing up in Lancashire.
She says: “I think he has softened a little bit. I love him to bits but he’s a right b*tch when he’s cold. He just does not talk to anybody. He just goes in on himself and moves himself away. That might be tricky around the camp fire.”

Wendy insists that Jordan would not be faking his fear for the cameras as he “does not put on an act”.
And he is scared of many things – including ghosts. At university he was so convinced he was being haunted that he got his accommodation blessed.
Wendy says: “Whenever we moved property Jordan was always convinced that there was a ghost in every house we lived in. And when he actually went to uni he got once of his uni friends who was studying religion to bless his halls of residence.
“He thought it was haunted by a ghost. A gay ghost. He had holy water and everything so I don't know how he is going to do in the castle. I think his fears will be heightened.”

Radio 1 star Nick Grimshaw confirms Jordan is “genuinely scared of everything” – even lifts.
He says: “When I found out he was going to be locked in a vault with snakes I was like, ‘He won’t do this. He’s even scared of the lifts at Radio 1.
“He won’t get into the lift. We’re only eight floors, so every time he comes in he’ll walk up eight floors. So why he’s gone on I’m A Celebrity, I don’t know.
“Hopefully he’s gone through the worst now, but he’s going to get voted for everything.”
Despite his fears Jordan is now second favourite to win the show and looks like he will be there until the end.

Part of his reason for taking part in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! was to help buy his mum a new kitchen.
And although he now lives in London, his heart is still in Burnley, Lancashire, where he grew up.
He has a season ticket at Turf Moor to watch Burnley FC and is an ambassador for the Pendleside Hospice, for which he helped raise £2,500 at the start of the pandemic by hosting a live quiz from his London home.
Wendy says: “I’m so super proud of him, I don’t care what happens with this and where he comes. He’s definitely the king of our family castle, and that’s what counts.”
